Hello Internet. Wow! It’s official. I have a blog. It feels weird, but I’m excited to see where this goes. I’m using this platform to revamp my writing, and to get into the habit of writing every day. Between food, new careers, relationships, travel – there is always something for me to write about. Plus this will keep my accountable. I’ve seen how not having a deadline or accountability affected me so far. My hands are no longer pen stained. Writing and having something published as been a dream for longer than I can remember. It’s time to make it a reality.

Let’s think smaller. What will this blog be about? For one food. I love baking and cooking. Finding complex flavors and seeing something rise in front of your eyes. It’s magic. Another will be traveling. I’m on the verge of many trips and new adventures. From moving in with a guy I’m in love with, celebrating with friends and family, to going to the happiest place on earth. There are so many exciting things happening, and I want to capture it all.

I would like to also connect to fellow writers. The only other writers I know are from college. If any of you are writing and looking for someone to connect with, I’m here. I would love to start a community of writers and poets, so that we can inspire each other in our own work and projects. But that’s for you all to decide.

If this blog is successful throughout the next year, I hope that I’ve accomplished my goal of writing consistently. If I could have a book completed, that wouldn’t be too bad either. I’ve had my book idea since middle school. Like a small fly constantly flying in the background of my day to day life. Nagging me and calling out to me. I’m tired of putting it of till the next day. We aren’t guaranteed anything, and who knows when it might be too late to take that leap of faith.
